Welcome To Rainbows Nanaimo
A Place For Healing
We are a non-profit organization, and we are looking forward to a peaceful world by helping each other to join hands together to bring a better future for all children.

About Us
Rainbows Nanaimo has provided support to families going through a major loss or change in their family for the last 30 plus years. This program provides much-needed support to children, teens, and their parents as they grieve and deal with changes in their family life. Trained volunteers facilitate small groups of children and youth. They work through 12 topics together (over ten weeks) and kids learn that they are not alone and are not to blame for their family’s change. Kids and parents feel listened to and cared for as they learn about feelings and coping skills. Participants love the activities, journal games, snacks, and the fact that their community cares!
