Is Rainbows considered counselling?

No, Rainbows is a peer support group, it is not counselling. Groups are led by a Rainbows chosen and trained adult facilitator.

How are groups determined?

Participants are organized into small groups of similar ages.

When are the Rainbows programs offered?

The community program has start dates in September and January and runs for 12 weeks. Schools will have their own schedule. Please contact them for more information.

Do I need a referral?

No. You may refer yourself, your child(ren), or teen(s) by contacting us directly.

Is there a fee to register?

No, all of our programs are free for participants.

How can I get my child involved in a group?

Please complete the online registration form. You can also contact us with any questions.

What ages are the groups available to?

Our programs start at age 3 and go into adulthood.

Are volunteers and facilitators the same thing?

Facilitators are volunteers but there are many other volunteer opportunities available beyond facilitating. Please see our Support page for more information.

How can I become a facilitator?

An application, background check and training are needed to become a facilitator. There is a cost associated. Please see our Support page for more details.
