Community Coordinator
Taylor Lebrun is the Community Coordinator for the Rainbows program in Nanaimo.
Rainbows Nanaimo has been offering grief support group programs to children & families in Nanaimo since 1988 (supported by RM Society). Every year about 200 kids and parents participate in small groups within this program in schools and community sites.
Volunteer Facilitators
Facilitators are trained local community members, who help provide support and facilitation peer support groups for children and families. We have facilitators who are students, retired or current teachers, parents, and caring citizens. All volunteers are screened and attend an online training (required by our Rainbows International office) to follow the program mandate. We also require that all volunteers get a criminal record check prior to becoming a facilitator. Most of all, volunteers help provide a friendly, comfortable, and caring environment for healing and growth.
